Two-thirds of 2019 students win offers at top-12 institutions

Congratulations to the 31 students in our 2019-20 cohort, who have experienced huge success with their university applications. We are so proud that this year ALL of our students have been offered a place at one of the 30 most selective UK universities (Sutton Trust 30). Two thirds of these also hold an offer from at least one of the top-12, including Imperial College, UCL, Warwick and Durham. Seven have received offers from Oxford and Cambridge. All of our students come from areas in northern England with especially low rates of progression to leading universities.

Executive Director, Paul Coupar-Hennessy said “We’re thrilled that this year’s students have received outstanding offers in such a range of subjects, from History of Art to Astrophysics. They are a fantastic group of young people and these results are richly deserved.”

In 2019, the 12 most competitive UK universities were:

  • Cambridge
  • Oxford
  • Imperial College London
  • London School of Economics and Political Science
  • St Andrew’s
