Before joining the Linacre Institute as Programme Lead, Daniel worked in a variety of freelance and employed roles across the university sector. This has included time as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in the Department of English at the University of Texas at Austin, work as an academic skills adviser in the post-92 sector, four years as an English lecturer at Bangor University, and freelance work with organisations such as the Learned Society of Wales, King’s College London, and Swansea University. He gained his PhD in English Literature at Bangor University, and has particular research interests in modern Welsh literature in the English language.
