Hiring a new Programmes Director
The Linacre Institute is looking for someone who recognises the value of higher education and is passionately committed to social mobility, especially for disadvantaged young people in the North of England. This is a pivotal role where you will work with schools across the region and encourage their participation in the charity’s well-proven summer schools and mentoring programmes.
Building on seven years of successful growth and achievement, you will bring your experience of education and training to further develop the charity’s ability to help students win places and thrive at the most competitive universities where they are under-represented.
You will have a demonstrable commitment to supporting educationally isolated sixth formers, have a relevant first degree and ideally at least two years of relevant teaching experience or corporate graduate recruitment and training programmes.
To be successful in this role you will also need
- sound knowledge of higher education and the impact on social mobility
- great attention to detail and high quality administration
- experience of planning and project management
- excellent communications including presentations and feedback
- at least some experience of recruitment interviewing and selection techniques
- IT skills especially Google Workplace, Microsoft Office and financial control systems
The Programmes Director will take the lead child safety and all Safeguarding matters and need to ensure that our policies and practices are regularly review and updated in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
