The Linacre Institute’s 2014 students have achieved unprecedented success in winning offers from the UK’s three world top-10 universities.

70% got offer from Oxford/Cambridge/Imperial
Nationwide
23% got offer
70% of applicants have so far won places at Oxford, Cambridge or Imperial College London – against a national average of around 1 in 5. It is a better success rate than any school in the country has managed in recent years – including Eton!
Students won offers to study subjects including English, Earth Sciences, Medicine, Psychology and Maths. Every one of our partner schools experienced success, and Wales High School near Rotherham saw all three of its Linacre Oxbridge applicants win places.
Hall Cross School in Doncaster called the Linacre programme its students followed, “beyond outstanding”. Wales said its students had come back “positively glowing”.
Many of our students are the first in their family to attend university, and several of our target areas – including Doncaster and Rotherham – are in the bottom 20 regions for progression to elite universities.
Outside Oxbridge, students have had a 100% success rate in their applications. They have had offers from LSE, Edinburgh, Durham, York, King’s College, London and University College, London, which was also recently rated as among the world’s top 20 universities.
